One of the most unique attractions in Pigeon Forge, Goats on a Roof lets your family feed goats, ride a “goat coaster,” do some gem mining and grab some delicious ice cream. They are easy to find as they are the only attraction with goats actually walking around on their roof. There is no charge to come into the gift shop and view the goats from the windows of the second level. This tradition began 40 years ago when Al Johnson opened a Swedish restaurant in Wisconsin. The family goats grazed on the sodded roof to attract people, a gamble that paid off as the Wisconsin eatery is still open. The owners of Goats on a Roof partnered with the Johnson family to share this same unique experience in Pigeon Forge. A ride on the Goat Coaster is $20 and mining for gems is $15 for one bucket or $20 for two.
