The Great Smoky Mountains are home to some of the most stunning waterfalls on the East Coast. Although some have hikes that can be very strenuous, many are easy walks to water cascading over rocks. The kids will love the sound of rushing water and you will capture some amazing photos of them as they climb around the rocks. Just be careful as the rocks are slippery. Swimming is discouraged in any of the park waters as the ponds can give a false appearance of being shallow. The water is often very cold as well.
