At 6,643 feet, Clingman’s Dome is the highest point in the Great Smoky Mountains as well as in Tennessee. On clear days, it is possible to see for over 100 miles. There is an observation tower that offers 360-degree views of the park. There is a road that takes you within a half-mile of the observation tower. From there, you will need to walk up a half-mile ramp which is quite steep to get to the tower. The walk is suitable for strollers but wheelchair access is not possible due to the slope of the ramp.
