Located in a steep valley, Herbert Holt Park can be difficult to see from the road, but once you find it, the park is a great place to spend an afternoon with your family. Locals consider the park a haven from crowded areas of the city. There is a covered pavilion as well as picnic tables scattered throughout. You can find sinks and grills along with restroom facilities. There are horseshoe pits, playground areas, walking trails a fishing pier, children’s fishing stream and more. You can even witness trout rearing as the only municipal trout farm in Tennessee is located in the park.
