Ziplines have gained popularity throughout the United States and the Gatlinburg-Pigeon Forge areas of Tennessee are no exception. Several different zipline options are available in the area, offering different views of the valley and mountains.
Ziplines are suspended rigging systems that send riders across a distance between two anchors, usually aided by a trolley. Canopy Tours are ziplines in forests that use trees and other natural elements to zip from one elevated surface to another. These tours provide a unique perspective of the terrain and are a much more “holistic” experience.
The best times for ziplining are late spring through late fall when the weather is better. There are some zipline locations that close during the winter months.
