If you want a rafting adventure that will get your heart pumping, Rafting in the Smokies has just what you need. They offer rafting on the upper section of the Pigeon River which has 12 Class II and three Class IV rapids. A river guides joins you on your ride as you travel over five miles on the river, tackling rapids with names like Vegamatic, Razor Blade, Lost Guide, Too Late and After Shave. You don’t need any rafting experience for this trip. All rafters must be at least eight years old or 70 pounds and be able to fit into a 56” personal flotation device. The cost is $44 per person.
