What could be more romantic than walking hand-in-hand through a quaint European village? This adorable shopping location began in 1965 when two families purchased the land. Over the years, they traveled extensively, trying to find an idea for the property. After determining what they wanted, they set about to create something that was as authentic as possible. Using items reclaimed from homes, churches and buildings scheduled for demolition, they were able to create a very authentic looking European village in the heart of the Great Smoky Mountains. Today, there are 27 unique shops and restaurants located in The Village. Take a stroll on the brick pathways, sit next to the bubbling fountain or grab the perfect gift to take home with you.
